2025-02-20In the modern industrial field, compressed air, as an important energy medium, is widely used in various pneumatic equipment, tools and production processes. However, untreated compressed air often carries harmful substances such as dust, oil mist, rust and moisture. These impurities will not only affect the normal operation of pneumatic equipment and shorten the service life of the equipment, but also pose a potential threat to product quality. Therefore, as a key component of the compressed air system, the Compressed Air Filter plays a vital role.
The working principle of the compressed air filter is based on a multi-layer filter device, which effectively removes impurities in the compressed air through physical and chemical methods. When the compressed air carrying impurities enters the first-stage filter device of the filter, a coalescence effect will occur. In this process, larger particles are adsorbed by the filter material due to inertial impact, and the water condenses into larger water droplets. Subsequently, the compressed air enters the separation chamber, the speed slows down, the particles gather again, and the water mist condenses on the honeycomb water collector. The water carrying impurity particles flows along the bottom to the drainage device and is discharged through an automatic or electric drain valve.
After the first stage of filtration, more than 95% of water droplets, oil and large particles have been filtered out, and the compressed air enters the second stage filter element. In the second stage of filtration, the compressed air passes through a fiber filter made of special cotton, generating thousands of small vortices, accelerating the air flow and forming a vacuum state. In this process, the remaining water droplets are gasified, converted, and filtered out. At the same time, particles as small as 5 microns are also completely removed by the second stage filter. After two stages of filtration, the compressed air reaches a clean and dry state without dust, rust, oil, or water droplets, providing a strong guarantee for the normal operation of pneumatic equipment.
Compressed air filters have shown significant advantages in industrial applications with their excellent performance and diverse characteristics. Its precise oil removal, deodorization, and dust removal functions are integrated, which can efficiently remove oil mist and lock the oil mist concentration at an extremely low level. The filter has a reasonable structure, a small size, and is easy to install and maintain. It uses advanced anti-leakage technology and high-quality filter materials to ensure stable and reliable filtering effects.
In terms of materials, compressed air filters usually use a combination of various filter materials such as glass fiber, metal mesh, filter paper, sintered felt, etc. to meet the needs of different industrial environments. These filter materials have high-efficiency anti-corrosion properties and can withstand harsh conditions such as high temperature and high pressure to ensure the long-term stable operation of the filter.
Compressed air filters are widely used in many industrial fields such as steel mills, power plants, aluminum plants, natural gas, shipbuilding, chemicals, and textiles. Compressed air filters play a key role in the filtration of hydraulic systems of rolling mills and continuous casting machines and the filtration of various lubrication equipment. At the same time, compressed air filters also show their indispensable value in the filtration of lubricating oil and engine oil for railway internal combustion engines and generators, as well as the purification of gas turbines, boiler lubrication systems, and speed control system oil for thermal and nuclear power.
Compressed air filters also play an important role in shipbuilding, glass manufacturing, refineries, electronic precision manufacturing, and other fields. From painting, riveting hammer, sandblasting, welding to air separation oxygen and nitrogen production, from combustion gas, emptying and cleaning oil circuit to lifting and elevator drive control system, compressed air filters are everywhere, providing strong support for the smooth progress of industrial production.
